ACCG case set for Appellate Court oral arguments

The ACCG appeal of its Cyprus/China import restriction challenge is on the September court agenda.

June 30, 2012

The ACCG's appeal of Judge Blake's dismissal of its test case will be heard before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in Richmond, Virginia, on September 19, 2012.   The Court will decide whether the ACCG is entitled to judicial review of the State Department's and Customs and Border Protection's controversial decisions to impose import restrictions on Cypriot and Chinese coins, and whether it is proper to restrict coins based on their place of production rather than their find spot under the applicable law, the Convention on Cultural Property Implementation Act.
