The Ancient Coin Collectors Guild has become a driving force in the ongoing effort to protect coin collectors and museums in which coins are stored from being forced to give up these items to foreign governments under the premise the coins are the cultural patrimony of the claimant nation. — Richard Giedroyc, World Coin News April 26, 2010

ACCG grant makes a difference

A correspondence from one of the teachers at a school receiving the ACCG New Schools Grant describes the impact that this ACE program has had on students. Schools supported by ACCG under this program receive genuine ancient coins for classroom study and for them to keep.

A thank you from a teacher:

"Our latest shipment has arrived, thank you!
I felt somewhat pirate-like with all the coins spilling out into my hand, and the boys crowded around to see both what was different ("Hey, look at THIS one") and what was similar ("This looks like MINE"). The latter in hopes that they had had the instinctive good sense to choose a "really good" one from the first batch!"
Students immediately went to the internet to learn more about "their" coin. These coins really make a difference for many students and provide great opportunities for all students to get excited about learning and sharing what they have learned with their families and others. "Thanks to you all."
