The Ancient Coin Collectors Guild has become a driving force in the ongoing effort to protect coin collectors and museums in which coins are stored from being forced to give up these items to foreign governments under the premise the coins are the cultural patrimony of the claimant nation. — Richard Giedroyc, World Coin News April 26, 2010

ACCG members gather at ANA in Pittsburgh

The first Public meeting of the ACCG marks a Guild milestone.

October 02, 2004

The Ancient Coin Collectors Guild held an informal gathering at the Pittsburgh ANA convention on Saturday, August 21 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in Room 323 of the David Lawrence Convention Center. Guild President Kerry K. Wetterstrom and Board Member David Vagi were in attendance. This was the first public gathering of Guild members and the turnout was encouraging. A short presentation about the Guild was delivered by Wayne G. Sayles, Executive Director of the ACCG. Application forms were available, and about a dozen new members joined the Guild at this time. There was also an informal discussion session and an opportunity for Guild members to get acquainted with each other after the presentation. The ACCG sincerely thanks the numismatic press for their coverage of this event.
