The Ancient Coin Collectors Guild has become a driving force in the ongoing effort to protect coin collectors and museums in which coins are stored from being forced to give up these items to foreign governments under the premise the coins are the cultural patrimony of the claimant nation. — Richard Giedroyc, World Coin News April 26, 2010

Transcript of 14 Feb 11 oral arguments

March 19, 2011

On February 14, 2011, oral arguments in the ACCG's Cyprus/China MOU challenge were heard by the Honorable Catherine Blake in U.S. District Court at Baltimore.  The arguments related to a motion for dismissal filed by the defendants (U.S. State Department and U.S. Customs and Border Protection).  See the earlier announcement here.  Mr. Peter Tompa of Bailey and Ehrenberg in Washington DC represented the ACCG in this matter.

The transcript of that hearing has now been made available to ACCG and may be viewed or downloaded here.  The indexed PDF file is 65 pages in length.  A decision on the motion has not yet been announced by Judge Blake.
