Collectors to petition Supreme Court for hearing

ACCG to ask for Supreme Court review of Test Case

By Wayne G. Sayles |
December 18, 2012

The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals has denied ACCG’s Petition for Rehearing.  In response to this latest action, the ACCG plans to petition the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case.  The ACCG hopes that this Petition will continue to sensitize U.S. Government decision makers to the concerns of the numismatic community about how the U.S. State Department and U.S. Customs have damaged the venerable hobby of ancient coin collecting in the United States.  As American importers of ancient coins are burdened with extralegal administrative regulations, collectors in most other countries may import the same coins with impunity.
