Election of Board of Directors in 2008

Four of the seven seats on the ACCG Board of Directors will be voted on by the general membership of the Guild in 2008

According to ACCG bylaws, the term for a member of the Board of Directors is four years. At the time of incorporation, the seats were filled by seven appointed members. The first election of Board Members took place in 2006, and subsequent elections will be held every two years. In 2006, three seats were considered. In 2008, four seats will be considered. In 2010, three seats will be considered, etc.

To be eligible for nomination, one must be a member in good standing as of February 15, in the election year. Nominations come from the general membership and anyone may nominate up to five persons for the ballot. One may nominate oneself. Nominations may be sent by regular mail or email to the Secretary, ACCG, at P.O. Box 911, Gainesville, MO 65655 (email: to arrive no later than February 15. Election ballots will be distributed on or about March 15, by email to all members in good standing as of February 15. Ballots will be sent by U.S. Postal Service to all members who do not have an email address on file. Completed ballots will be sent to the Election Coordinator, Jorg Lueke, (, to arrive on or before April 15, 2008. Although voting by email is authorized, a USPS address for Mr. Lueke will be included on the ballot form. The tabulation of votes will be monitored by the Twin Cities Ancient Coin Club, an Affiliate Member of the ACCG.

Board members whose seats are expiring this term are Mr. Hendin, Mr. Sayles, Mr. Sear and Mr. Wetterstrom. Board members are eligible to run for their own seats. Questions regarding the election process may be directed to Wayne G. Sayles at
