Eric Reed joins ACCG management team

Eric Reed becomes the first ACCG Development Officer in the guild's organizational building program.

Guild executive director Wayne G. Sayles announced on January 25th the appointment of Eric B. Reed of Hagerstown, Maryland to the position of ACCG Development Officer. Reed's appointment is the first to this position since the founding of ACCG in 2004. Consequently, he will be developing a long-range program to enhance guild membership, financial programs and special activities.


Eric is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a degree in liberal arts focussing on United States economic and political history. He earned a MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland in 2000 and is presently the Chief Financial Officer of Lyles Ventures, a premier Maryland residential and commercial developer. Early in his career, he served as a Research Assistant with Council of Europe, European Commission of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France and has global experience in his present position—working with individuals from 20 countries. He has a strong background in Strategic Planning and Execution as well as Project Lifecycle Management. Eric is a Board Member and Past President of the Hagerstown Kiwanis Club and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.

"This exceedingly important position is core to the future effectiveness of ACCG as an organization," said Sayles. "Eric has the background, talent and personality to help take our organization to a new level, which is critical to the survival of ancient coin collecting as we know it."
