FOIA Appeal Advances to Oral Arguments

Having survived the government's motion for summary affirmance of the District Court ruling, The FOIA lawsuit now moves forward into a critical new phase.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has set oral argument in the ACCG-IAPN-PNG appeal of Judge Leon’s order denying the public access to documents related to the controversial decisions to impose import restrictions on ancient Cypriot and Chinese coins.  The Court will hear the appeal on January 24, 2001 at 9:30 AM.  Circuit Judges Rogers and Tatel and Senior Circuit Judge Williams will be presiding.
