The Ancient Coin Collectors Guild has become a driving force in the ongoing effort to protect coin collectors and museums in which coins are stored from being forced to give up these items to foreign governments under the premise the coins are the cultural patrimony of the claimant nation. — Richard Giedroyc, World Coin News April 26, 2010
The ACCG Fax Wizard is now programmed to accept comment from individuals outside of the United States who wish to voice their opposition to U.S. import restrictions on ancient coins.
Dear International Friends;
I am extremely pleased to report that the ACCG Fax Wizard for comment to CPAC has just been opened for individuals outside of the U.S. We still limit comments to Congress only to U.S. citizens, but the software has been modified to allow comments from outside the U.S. in campaigns where the message is directed not to Congress but to the U.S. State Department (CPAC). Such is the case with our current campaign to oppose import restrictions on coins from Italy. Any members of this list who live outside of the U.S. but feel a sense of solidarity with our opposition to import restrictions on coins can now express their concerns or personal experiences to the Cultural Property Advisory Committee through the free Fax Wizard at http://accg.us The process is very easy, just click on the picture of the U.S. Capitol building at the left side of the ACCG home page and follow the simple instructions. We realize that some collectors in other countries will be reluctant to comment on U.S. affairs, but the truth is that opinions of collectors in other countries has a significant bearing on the deliberations of CPAC. We heartily invite your participation and thank in advance all who join our effort.
