Preserving our freedom to collect

The Ancient Coin Collectors Guild has become a driving force in the ongoing effort to protect coin collectors and museums in which coins are stored from being forced to give up these items to foreign governments under the premise the coins are the cultural patrimony of the claimant nation. — Richard Giedroyc, World Coin News April 26, 2010

Orange County Ancient Coin Club joins ACCG

The Orange County Ancient Coin Club joins the cadre of ACCG supporting organizations.

August 16, 2005

The Orange County Ancient Coin Club becomes the 13th independent group of collectors to join the ACCG as an Affiliate Member. The OCACC was established in 2003 to serve collectors of ancient coins residing in the southern California area. Membership is open to anyone interested in ancient coins and cultures. Meetings generally include a formal program presentation by a member or guest speaker and time to socialize with others who share your hobby. Members often bring coins for attribution assistance or to show to others in the club.

The OCACC meets on the 4th Sunday of each month in the Community Room at the Fountain Valley Branch of the Orange County Public Library from 1:30-4:30 PM. The Fountain Valley Library is located at 17635 Los Alamos Street in Fountain Valley. Directions to the library are: Exit the 405 freeway at Brookhurst North. Turn right at the first light, which is Slater. Turn right at Los Alamos and enter the parking lot indicated for the library.

The ACCG warmly welcomes OCACC as an Affiliate Member and encourages collectors in the area to contact club officials at their web site about becoming an active member.
