Tompa receives ANA Past Club President Medal

ACCG recognizes the service and contributions of Peter K. Tompa

On January 10th, at the 2009 New York International Numismatic Convention, Peter K. Tompa was presented the ANA Past Club President Medal by ACCG Executive Director Wayne G. Sayles. Tompa served as President of the ACCG Board of Directors from August 2006 to August 2008. The ACCG is a member club of the American Numismatic Association. The three-inch medal made of nickel-silver, bears on its obverse the ANA logo derived from the U.S. Peace Dollar's "Liberty" executed in neoclassical style by Anthony de Francisci. On the reverse is engraved Mr. Tompa's name and dates of service as ACCG President. During the tenure of Mr. Tompa in this position, the ACCG has become recognized worldwide as a formidable advocacy group for the ancient coin collecting fraternity.
