WildWinds, a noncommercial and not for profit activity dedicated to serving the ancient coin collecting fraternity has joined the ACCG as an Affiliate Member.
WildWinds, founded by Dave Surber, was created as a reference, attribution and valuation resource for collectors who have access to the internet. The brain child of Surber has grown dramatically over the past several years and today incorporates the cooperative effort of more than 20 active contributors and photo/data resources from more than 100 ancient coin dealers. The WildWinds site contains nothing for sale, and is free to the public. As an attribution resource, it is unique in that powerful search engines can eliminate hours or days of tedious manual searches. WildWinds is, in Dave Surber's own words, "a perfect example of what the collector community can do".
